Who we are
Walking alongside parents and learners
Learn at Home is a registered company with the CIPC (enterprise number 2022/799588/07). We are a tutor centre and learning centre created to support parents who have chosen the homeschooling journey for their children.
As the parent, you remain the primary educator and carry full responsibility for your child's education, including registering with the Department of Education. Learn at Home (Pty) Ltd is not registered with the Department of Education and does not operate as an independent school. Instead, we provide a safe and supportive space where learners can be guided in their studies.
Our tutors are not qualified teachers, but they bring valuable skills, knowledge and a passion for helping children learn in a way that makes sense to them.
At Learn at Home, our heart is to walk alongside parents and learners, making homeschooling easier, structured and more enjoyable.

Message from Yolanda
My journey is my greatest credential
I am a proud homeschool mom with no formal teaching qualifications — yet my journey is my greatest credential. Over the past 20 years, I have gained valuable curriculum knowledge and practical teaching methods through homeschooling my own children. This experience has shaped me into the tutor I am today, equipped to guide and support other children on their learning journey.
My goal is to nurture children with unconditional love and to pass on the skills they need to handle the everyday challenges of growing up. Learn at Home is not a registered school — we are a registered civil educational institute — and that is deliberate: it lets us keep education personal, flexible and centred on each child.

Our story
From Amiato to Learn at Home
Decades
of homeschooling and child development experience in the Venter family, from Grade 1 through to Matric.
A new name
Amiato becomes Learn at Home (Pty) Ltd — the same team, the same values, and a growing community of homeschooling families in Edenvale.
Today
A homeschool hub for Grade 1–12 learners with small classes, outings, music and aftercare.
