FET Phase (Grade 10–12)
By phase
Programme structure
Class sizes are small and some classes combine more than one grade so learners can work at their own pace.
Grades 1–3
Foundation Phase
Languages, mathematics and life skills are the focus, taught through an accredited CAPS-aligned curriculum with OPSA term assessments. Assessment is continuous, with progress reports each term. Monthly fees for this phase include the curriculum.
Grades 4–6
Intermediate Phase
Follows the CAPS curriculum for English, mathematics and Afrikaans with continuous assessment and OPSA term assessments. History, geography, natural sciences and life skills are brought to life with projects, worksheets and skill-building activities.
Grades 7–9
Senior Phase
Based on CAPS, with additional resources where a learner needs them. Learners are assessed to national standards through structured OPSA online assessments.
Grades 10–12
FET Phase
Our FET learners use curriculum resources from a supplier registered with SACAI, an accredited assessment body. We prepare students confidently for their final exams. At the end of Grade 12 your child receives a Matric certificate from Umalusi — university entry is possible depending on subject choices and APS score.

How we teach
One curriculum, many building blocks
Our learners follow accredited CAPS-aligned curricula. Over many years of homeschooling we have also learned what helps children understand and enjoy their work — and we build those elements into everyday teaching.
CAPS curriculum
The structured national curriculum of the Department of Basic Education is our foundation. Learners follow accredited CAPS-aligned providers — OPSA for Grade 1–9 assessments and a SACAI-registered supplier for Grade 10–12 — which leads to a recognised Matric and university access.
Unit studies
A building block we weave into lessons: exploring one topic through several subjects at once — history, science, art and music — so learning is engaging and connected rather than taught in isolation.
Eclectic resources
Another building block: where a learner needs a different explanation or extra practice, our facilitators draw on a flexible mix of textbooks, worksheets and hands-on activities alongside the set curriculum.
Curriculum provider partners: our Grade 8–12 learners work with CAPS-compliant providers and a SACAI-registered supplier. Curriculum registration and compliance with the Department of Basic Education, OPSA or any curriculum provider remain the responsibility of the parent or guardian.
